Membership & associations

What has my association stored about me?

Everything an association has stored about you is in the association under Settings → My details. You also get there from your own row in Members. The page covers only that association — if you belong to several, each has its own.

Opening My details

  1. Open the association and go to Settings.

  2. Choose "My details".

Under Account → My associations there is a link to each association's page.

What the page shows

You: your name, your email address and — if the association asks for them — phone number and address. They belong to your Membly account and apply to all your associations, so you change them under Account.

Membership: your role, your membership type and when you became a member.

Other details: the fields the association has added itself, such as voice part or shirt size. You change these yourself with "Edit".

Sensitive details: personal identity number (masked), date of birth and sex, if the association collects them. The association changes these — contact it if something is wrong.

If the association takes payments in the app, there is a shortcut to My payments. At the bottom it says what other members see about you.

If the association changes your details

An admin can change your name, phone number and address, for example when the association corrects its register. When that happens you get an email and an in-app notice saying which association did it and which details changed.

Because name, phone number and address belong to your Membly account, the change applies in all your associations. Under You on My details it says "Updated by the association" with the date the association last changed something. Not right? Contact the association, or change it yourself under Account.

Leaving the association

  1. Tap "Leave association" at the bottom of My details.

  2. Write a reason and tap "Leave association".

The exit takes effect immediately. If you are the account owner, transfer ownership first ("Transfer ownership").
