How do I report a fault in the building?
Open Fault reports in the menu, tap the plus button and describe what is wrong. The report goes as an email to the association’s property manager, and when they answer, their reply lands on the case in Membly — you also get it in your own inbox.
How to do it
Open Fault reports.
It sits under More in the menu. If it is not there, the association has not switched fault reports on — ask the board.
Pick the type of fault.
Water and plumbing, Heating and ventilation, Electricity and lighting, Elevator, Laundry room, Doors and locks, Waste and recycling, Outdoor areas, or Other.
Describe the fault.
Write what happened, and when. The more concrete it is, the less the property manager has to ask back.
Add where the fault is, if it is not obvious.
For example "Laundry room, level -1" or "Stairwell B, floor 3".
Add photos if you can.
Up to three. A photo of a leak says more than a description, and Membly shrinks the image for you before it is sent.
Send.
What the property manager sees
They get an email carrying the association’s name, your name, what you wrote and any photos. Your email address is not handed over — the property manager replies to the email, and Membly passes the reply on to you.
They need no Membly account and nothing to install. They reply to the email the way they reply to any other email.
What happens next
The case appears in your list straight away and shows what has happened to it: that the report was sent, that the property manager has replied, or that the email could not be delivered.
When they reply, the answer lands on the case and also reaches you as an email from Membly. If you answer that email, your reply goes back to the property manager and is saved on the case.
After seven days with no reply the case reads "No reply yet" and you can send a reminder, or contact the board.
Who can see your report
You see your own reports. Admins and anyone carrying the leader role see every report in the association, so they know what is going on in the building. Other residents do not see your report.
The case stays when the board changes — that is the whole point of it living in Membly rather than in somebody’s mailbox.
When the fault is fixed
Tap Mark as fixed on the case. You can reopen it if the fault comes back. Nothing is deleted.
