About Membly

Association life is one of the forces that carry a society. For generations it has shaped democracy, community and commitment — and for many people it is still where belonging and meaning are made. Yet the everyday life of an association often looks the way it did twenty years ago: spread across tools that were never built for the purpose.

We believe community should be easy to carry forward — for the next generation too. That is why we are building Membly: to future-proof association life and give it a digital home made with the same care as the work that happens there.

Most associations run their everyday life in Facebook groups, WhatsApp threads and spreadsheets. That works until it does not: posts disappear in the feed, nobody knows who is actually coming, and the member list sits in a file on somebody’s laptop.

Membly gathers it all in one place — member register, events with RSVP, chat, feed, documents and notifications. Built for how an association actually works, not for how a company works. The feed is chronological. No algorithm decides what members get to see.

Membly has been rebuilt from the ground up. Where the previous Membly was aimed mainly at larger organisations and federations, the new Membly is made for the everyday life of an association: simple, secure and close at hand. The platform is run today by Monile AB — with Nino Mengarelli from the original founding team — which owns the trademark, the software and the domains. On 3 August 2026, Membly relaunched as an entirely new product under the same name.

Membly is developed and hosted inside the EU and complies with the GDPR. The association’s data belongs to the association: you can export it whenever you want and ask for it to be deleted. We never sell member data and we do not fund the service with advertising — the revenue comes from the subscription, which makes it clear who we build for.
